Allergy-friendly Sleepaway Camps (NOT necessarily nut free)

Here is a list of sleepaway camps we’ve heard are nut-aware, nut free OR have accommodated kids’ allergies well. Alphabetical by name of camp excluding the word ‘camp.’ If you are interested in any of these camps, please contact them to verify their current nut-free status and allergy policies.  Please let us know if you have any feedback, as well!

Has had a nut-free facility for the better part of two decades and each summer employs two special chefs who handle any and every dietary restriction, allergy or sensitivity.  For more details go here.

Facility is nut-free; they even check snacks at visiting day. They also will do a small number of campers doing OIT dosing in very controlled circumstances.

Camp Wingate*Kirkland – Yarmouth Port, MA (Cape Cod), (508) 362-3798. Can go right into being CIT/Jr. Counselor
Nut-free/sesame-free camp; serves many with additional allergies. Will do OIT dosing. No canteen, only ‘bunk safe’ bunk trunks by allergies in each bunk. 7 minutes from hospital. Very inclusive program and very flexible. Chef Tom serves up excellent food, allergy free and non. Co-ed and has 2-week programs up to 5th grade; 3 1/2 week programs for every age.
